'Fear, Fun and Faith' by John Flanner, HMRC Birmingham
John Flanner author of "Fear, Fun & Faith", writes:
The official launch of my book was surrounded by a buzz of excitement, and just over 300 copies were sold. This is great and I give thanks to God for it. I am now looking to publicise the book further and also make myself available to speak at various functions.
I am convinced that the book was inspired by God and that he wants my story of his faithfulness to reach lots of people. I have given diversity talks to many teams across the Civil Service, but
opportunities for promoting the book within the civil service are limited. I am receiving
some great feedback from people and am convinced that many more would like to read it if they knew it was available. "Fear, Fun & Faith" can be purchased from Amazon, or direct from me. There is also a CD to accompany the book (see sleeve below).
People may like to consider purchasing one for their church, or as a gift for others (bearing in mind birthdays etc). The book is now available in braille for loan or purchase from Torch Trust for the Blind, website: www.torchtrust.org, e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
I am available to bring my "Fear, Fun & Faith" message to your church or group if you would like to boldly approach your Church leadership. I have been used to inspire local congregations and/or to speak into the lives of people who are not yet Christians. I offer myself as a resource who is more than willing to make myself available to bless the Body of Christ.
For further details about how to obtain the book or CD or to check out my availability for speaking at an event send an email to email@example.com. John also has a website at www.johnflanner.co.uk and another, www.perfectvizion.com, aimed mainly at the business community.
JOHN FLANNER was a typical Midlands' teenager when, just before his twentieth birthday, he was quickly robbed of nearly all his sight, by a hereditary condition. Already struggling with a host of phobias and hang-ups, a twilight existence beckoned, on every level.
He instead has gone on to lead a remarkable life, in which he has triumphantly conquered his private fears, culminating in his Outstanding Achievement Award, at the very first national Civil Service Diversity Awards, in 2006. Along the way, the many twists and turns of his story led to him offering precious help to many others in a variety of circumstances; from disaffected teenagers to bomb victims to a top-flight English football manager.
FEAR, FUN AND FAITH is an inspirational, humorous and occasionally miraculous story, of a football-loving Brummie who learned to live with unexpected disability - and conquer his many fears.
John is a popular motivational speaker in government circles and amongst a wide variety of general and specific interest groups.
