Volunteering Day - Saturday 11th September

CIGUK is joining hundreds of other Christians in an exciting day of mission and volunteering work in 6 of London's toughest estates. The day is being facilitated by Regenerate UK and will start off with training and worship before an afternoon's work. We will round the day off with a meal and fellowship.

We are hoping to be undertaking social action type projects - clearing materials and painting flats as a CIGUK group in a central London location - although it is possible to volunteer for other work such as serving lunches to the elderly and helping with sports activities.

The cost of £10 per person covers all materials and food.

We do hope that you can join us for this exciting event which will make a real difference to the lives of thousands of people.

To register you will need to e-mail us letting us know what kind of work you are most interested in: painting/ clearing; sports activities; or cooking, serving lunch or other similar work (we will do our best to cater for this but can't guarantee it will always be possible). You will also need to transfer £10 to the CIG UK account (see here) making sure that you include your name on the payment transfer.

The probable schedule for the day is as follows:

• 10 am - 12 pm: training worship and prayer (at a venue TBC)
• 12 - 2 pm - briefing, lunch and travel to projects to set up
• 2 - 5 pm - projects
• 5 - 6pm - travel to St Pauls Onslow Square for meal, reflection and feedback from the day.
• The evening will end at 8.30 pm.
